Nick Filippides is excited to be leading the Branford Chorale in his 6th year as the group's musical director. He is a music education graduate of the University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music Program and is currently finishing his master's in Music Education at Central Connecticut State University. Nick is the music teacher at North Branford High School where he teaches chorus, guitar, music and theory. Nick's vocal performance experiences include performances at the Bushnell Theatre, ACDA Festival, St. John's Episcopal Church, and the University of Connecticut's "Real Men Sing" invitational chorus. Nick has recently picked up the sport of pickleball and composes music for fun. He firmly believes that everyone should use their voice to make music and thinks the Branford Chorale is a wonderful medium to do that! Nick lives in Branford with his fiancé.
Bill Speed is the Director of Music Ministries at the First Congregational Church of Guilford where he makes music with singers, handbell choirs, instrumentalists, and the UCC Congregation. Bill was seen at the Legacy Theatre production of "Musical of Musicals," and in cabaret performances in Ivorytown and Guilford. Bill lives in Guilford with his partner Michael and their Dalmatian brothers, Winston and Harley.
